Welcome back blog part two

I feel like I should rename this blog Colemans accidents. Two weeks ago Landon took a toy away from Coleman. He didn't realize it until about 10 minutes later and got really mad and chased Landon into my room. He tripped and fell and hit his head on my bed frame. I was just mad that he was yelling at Landon, so I helped him up and put him in his room for a time-out. I am such a good mom that I didn't even look at where he hit his head. Two minutes later I told him that he could come out, and he came out with blood everywhere. He had hit his eye and split open his skin. Needless to say after a trip to instacare, dermabond and a bandaid and he was put together again. I swear between falling down that stairs ALOT, getting hit in the head with a baseball bat, and everything else this kid does, I am surprised and grateful he doesn't have brain damage.

Welcome back blog....

Okay so it has been a little while since I have updated my blog. (Thanks everyone for the reminders) I don't really have a good excuse, just that I never keep a journal for more than 2 days. So why should that change with a computer journal. I will never be as good as Doogie Howser. But here you go. Colemans birthday was in September, I can't believe that he turned three. His favorite present was a New York Yankees baseball hat. We also signed him up for a baseball class at a nearby indoor baseball facility. I accidentally forgot to bring his hat to his first class, and he was so upset it took me about 5 minutes to talk him into playing without his hat. I hope those instructors get paid lots of money to teach 10 three year olds how to play baseball once a week for an hour. I came home from every class with a migraine.

Little Terror

Don't let this picture fool you. For months I have laughed at my sisters blog and her stories about her three year old daughter. Her daughter gets into everything from hiding markers in her bed so she can color on everything, or climbing to the top of a closet to get toothpaste that Heather has hidden. Well, I can't laugh anymore. Because I have a child like that now as well, he is just a late bloomer. In the matter of two hours yesterday he did some nasty things, and is lucky to be alive today. I am TRYING to potty train him, and he has been doing okay. But yesterday he was in going "potty". No big deal, I leave him alone in the bathroom all the time. Until I hear him screaming at the top of his lungs. Mind you this child only cries if he is really hurt. So I run into the bathroom to see him standing in the toilet with his feet stuck in the drain hole. He has literally tried to flush himself down the toilet. It took me about twenty minutes to get his feet out, with him screaming the entire time. The good thing is, that I think it scared him so badly he won't try it again. About a half hour later he wanted to play baseball in the backyard. I got all the stuff out for him and figured he would be out playing forever like he usually does. I figured that I would vacuum out my car. I came in about 10 minutes later to get a garbage bag, and who do I see.....Coleman. With mud caked all over his shoes. And he has proceeded to get mud EVERYWHERE!!! All over my floor, my area rug, my couches, the carpet. This was strike 2 against him. It took about an hour to clean that up. I finally get everything cleaned up, the baby is down for a nap and Walker has a friend over. I sent Coleman downstairs to play with the boys. He came up 10 minutes telling me that he had a black eye. Oh, and he did. He had colored all over his face with permanent marker. Not just on his face, but his entire body. It looked like all his veins had turned black. This was all before 11:30 in the morning because I had to leave at 11:40 for an appointment that morning. I am so glad that yesterday is over!! Why are there no pictures you may be asking?? Because it is sure hard to want to take pictures of your child when you are ready to lock him in a padded cell for an entire year!!

Walker's Week

Walker had a big week this week, between his soccer party and preschool graduation he has been a busy kid. In soccer he was given the "fire foot" award because he had a big kick and, averaged about 5 goals a game. He loved his team, the red dragons, and his coach. He can't wait until the fall when he gets to play again. Tonight he had his preschool program. I can't believe he will be in kindergarten next fall. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE his teacher. She is so great, and teaches him so much. Plus she knows how to put up with him and all his talking. The nickname he has had since he was 2 is "Walker Talker". He hates it but the name fits. The kids at the program are so funny. Some are like Walker and sing at the top of their lungs, and some kids are to scared to open their mouths. Good job Walker!!

Past two months........

Kimi with grandpa and the boys

Kimi and 75% of my kids

As you can see from the date of my last blog post, I am not very good at blogging. But for those of you who still read this blog (if anyone still does) here is what has been going on the past two months. My sister Kimi came home from her mission in April. My boys were SOO excited for her to come home and play with them. Coleman still wakes up everyday and asks if Kimi is going to come play baseball with him. She still has an accent, but at least she speaks English consistently now.

Last week Kimi and I drove to Denver to visit my other sister in Denver. Between the 3 of us and 8 kids we got plenty at of weird looks. At church on Sunday we took up an entire large bench. My brother in law leaned over and told me that he wondered if this was what .polygamy was like. After that trip I now know what it would feel like to have 8 kids, and it will NOT be happening. I will let Heather pull that one off. We went to a place in Denver that had a lot of blow up toys and our kids were in heaven for 2 hours. My sisters and I even joined in the fun. There was an obstacle course and we all raced each other. I have a huge floor burn on my elbow to prove it, and yes Kimi....I beat you.

Future Rock Star??

I tried to teach him how to make the rock on sign but he couldn't do it. So I am doing it in the corner. I guess it is about time I make an appearance in my blog.

I have a renewed obsession. Before my youngest sister left for her mission we would play guitar hero ALL the time. I would go to my parents house and play with her or she would bring the game to my house and we would play. I was addicted, we would totally ignore my kids while we played. I know I am a bad mom. We played everyday. She has been gone for almost 18 months and I haven't played it since. For my birthday my mother in law gave me this game. It had been sitting in the box for a long time. Last weekend I was bored with having to sit on the couch or lay in bed because of my knee surgery. So last Sunday when everyone was sleeping, I opened the game and played for about 4 hours. I had forgotten how much I LOVE this game. But I can't play so much, not so easy to have free time with 4 kids. So my third child has also become obsessed. He wants to play "tar hero" all day long. And when I tell him no he throws quite a tantrum. He will walk around the house all day with the guitar strap around his neck, holding the guitar and making sound effects. Maybe this will pay off in a few years when he is a big rock star and he can pay for my retirement. So I am okay with the tantrums for now.....

Much Ado About Nothing

Tonight we had a family Valentines day party. We had heart shaped pizza and let the boys bring out their pillows and blankets and watch a Charlie Brown Valentine. Charlie Brown always gets the shaft.

Landon is supposed to be sleeping.

I know that it has almost been a month since my last post. Sad thing is that I really have nothing to write about. I am too lazy to call my sister so she can tell me how to make my blog private like she did. I am also too lazy to figure out how to do it myself. It has been a boring few weeks. The cold weather makes me ornery because my kids go can't go outside, and they drive me crazy. I turned 32 a couple of weeks ago, yahoo. (that is me being sarcastic) Turning 32, not so great. I am having surgery on my other knee this week. Same problem from the surgery in October, just the other knee. That is always something I so look forward to. I am living a pretty exciting life.. My kids on the other hand.....We got a Wii for Christmas. It is fun to play. However, Jackson and Walker LIVE to play the Wii. They are addicted, but they will only play one game-MarioKart. They play every chance they get. They are getting pretty good. Troy and I don't really play with them anymore because I HATE to lose, especially to a 6 year old. Jackson has a notebook that he keep track of every race, and what place he takes. I think its a little OCD. Walker just cries and blames the TV if he loses. But it keeps them busy during the cold weather so I can't complain too much. Walker has tennis shoes that he can't put on by himself. This week I got so fed up with putting them back on every five minutes. That we went to Target and bought some shoes with velcro that he can put on himself. I also bought some Thomas bubblebath for Coleman, his new obsession is trains. Well, as I was helping Walker try on his shoes Coleman told me that his pants were wet. I looked up just in time to see him pour the entire container of bubblebath all over the floor. I was so mortifed and mad! I had to pay for a nearly empty bottle of bubbles. He is such a handfull. But Walker can FINALLY put his shoes on himself. That has given me a little more patience during the day. Today I went and got a pedicure, it has been a long time and was so awesome. But I chose to have dark red nail polish on my toes. Ever since I got home Coleman has been following me around telling my my toes are "owies". He thinks my toes are bleeding and is very concerned about my health. Cute, but after three hours its getting a little annoying.
